LVT Flooring (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is one of the most popular commercial flooring solutions in the UK — combining the natural look of wood or stone with the durability, waterproofing and low maintenance that busy retail and commercial environments demand. Maxshelf supplies rigid core LVT flooring tiles for retail shops, supermarkets, convenience stores, offices and commercial fitouts, held in stock at our Elstree warehouse for fast UK delivery.
Wood-Effect LVT Tiles
Available in Black Ash, Revie, Elland Oak, Yorkshire and Leeds finishes — each delivering a realistic wood-effect surface with a rigid SPC core. All planks are 182×1220×5mm and sold in 2sqm boxes.
SPC Core Construction
Our LVT tiles feature a Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) rigid core — denser and more stable than standard LVT. Resistant to temperature fluctuation, making them suitable for both heated and unheated commercial spaces.
Click-Fit Installation
Designed for fast installation over most existing subfloors. No adhesives or specialist tools required — reducing labour cost and minimising disruption to trading hours during a shop refit.

Why Choose LVT Flooring for Retail & Commercial Spaces?
Durability Under High Footfall
LVT flooring is built to withstand the constant footfall of busy retail environments. The rigid core resists denting and deformation, while the wear layer protects against scratches, scuffs and spills — keeping floors looking professional for longer.
Cost-Effective vs Wood or Porcelain
Luxury vinyl tiles deliver the appearance of real wood or stone at a fraction of the cost. With no specialist installation required, LVT reduces both material and labour costs compared to traditional commercial flooring options.
Low Maintenance, Easy to Clean
The sealed surface of LVT flooring requires no sanding, waxing or specialist treatment. Routine sweeping and damp mopping is all that is needed — ideal for food retail environments where hygiene standards are critical.

Frequently Asked Questions — LVT Flooring
What is LVT flooring?
LVT stands for Luxury Vinyl Tile — a multi-layer synthetic flooring product that replicates the look of natural wood or stone. Modern LVT uses a rigid SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) core for added stability, making it one of the most practical commercial flooring choices available. It is 100% waterproof, durable and straightforward to install.
Is LVT flooring suitable for retail shops and commercial spaces?
Yes. LVT flooring is widely used in retail shops, supermarkets, convenience stores, offices and restaurants across the UK. Its rigid core construction handles high footfall, and its waterproof surface makes it easy to clean and maintain in busy trading environments. All Maxshelf LVT tiles are specified for commercial use.
What is the difference between LVT and SPC flooring?
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is the broader product category. SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) refers to the type of rigid core used in premium LVT products. Maxshelf’s LVT tiles feature an SPC rigid core, which makes them more dimensionally stable and resistant to temperature fluctuation than standard flexible LVT — better suited to commercial environments with underfloor heating or variable temperatures.
How is LVT flooring installed?
Our LVT tiles use a click-fit system and are installed as a floating floor — no adhesives or specialist tools are required. Tiles can be laid directly over most existing subfloors, including concrete, screed and existing vinyl, provided the surface is flat, clean and dry. This makes them particularly well suited to shop refits where minimising downtime is important.
How many tiles do I need? What does one box cover?
Each box of Maxshelf LVT flooring tiles contains planks covering 2 square metres. To calculate how many boxes you need, measure the length and width of your space in metres, multiply to get the total area in sqm, then divide by 2. We recommend adding 10% for waste and cutting — especially for irregular-shaped rooms or spaces with multiple doorways.
Can I order LVT flooring for next-day delivery or collect from your warehouse?
Yes. Maxshelf holds LVT flooring stock at our Elstree warehouse in Borehamwood, WD6 3BL. Same-day collection is available Monday to Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 9am–2pm. UK delivery is typically 1–3 working days. For large orders or trade accounts, contact our team for a quote.
