White Plaster Ceiling Tiles
White plaster ceiling tiles deliver a clean, bright finish suited to supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies and general retail environments. The neutral tone reflects light evenly and creates a professional, open atmosphere. A white plaster suspended ceiling remains the default specification for most commercial shopfits, and both tile sizes are compatible with our white suspended ceiling grid system.

600×600mm
Standard format and the most widely used across UK retail. Easier to cut and handle on site, 2.88 sqm per box of 8, and the better choice for smaller or irregular ceilings with a lot of edge work.
600×1200mm
Larger format covering twice the area per tile, so fewer tiles are needed and fewer grid lines are visible from below. 5.76 sqm per box of 8, and considerably faster to install on large open ceilings.

Our acoustic drop ceiling tiles reduce ambient noise in busy retail and commercial environments, absorbing sound rather than reflecting it back into the room. Available in three finishes, all 600×600mm and compatible with standard suspended ceiling grids.

What is a grid ceiling?
A grid ceiling, also known as a drop ceiling, lay-in ceiling or suspended ceiling, is a secondary ceiling hung below the structural one on a metal T-bar frame. Square tiles rest inside the frame and can be lifted out individually, which keeps pipework, cabling and lighting accessible without breaking into a solid ceiling. What is the difference between 600×600mm and 600×1200mm ceiling tiles?
The 600×1200mm tile covers twice the area, so fewer tiles are needed for the same ceiling. The larger format also produces fewer visible grid lines from below, giving a cleaner appearance on large open ceilings. Both formats use the same material, thickness and finish.
How many ceiling tiles will I need?
Measure the ceiling length and width in metres and multiply to get the area in square metres. Divide by 2.88 for 600×600mm boxes or by 5.76 for 600×1200mm boxes, then round up. We recommend adding around 10% for cutting and edge tiles, and more if the ceiling has an irregular shape or a number of light fittings.
What is the difference between plaster and acoustic ceiling tiles?
Plaster ceiling tiles in black or white are a standard decorative finish suitable for most retail and commercial interiors. Acoustic tiles additionally absorb sound and reduce ambient noise, which makes them a better choice for busy shops, cafés, restaurants and open-plan offices. Both types are grid-compatible.
Can I collect the ceiling grid from your warehouse?
Yes. Suspended ceiling grid systems are collection only from our Elstree showroom in Borehamwood, WD6 3BL. Same-day collection is available Monday to Friday 8am–8pm, Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 9am–3pm. Ceiling tiles can be delivered UK-wide, typically within 1–3 working days.
